Asia Ward is a sculpture based social practice artist. She fabricates animatronics, eco art, solar and wind powered sculptures, exhibiting nationally. Ward has a background working with science museums as a science communicator, exhibit and program manager, her most recent with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History about the Anthropocene and Climate Change. Trained in photovoltaic design and installation, Ward has created renewable energy educational lessons and products for K-12, which are used internationally, and has provided professional development around the nation to hundreds of educators in renewable energy education. She has participated in several Artist Residencies around the US, and has received grants from the Minnesota State Arts board, Northern Lights, Public Art Saint Paul, Institute on the Environment, and the Knight Foundation.
